Easiest Homemade Whole Wheat Croutons

Homemade croutons taste so much better than store-bought croutons and they don't have all those yucky preservatives. They are so simple to make and my kids love them! They take less than 5 minutes to prepare and only take 10 minutes to bake. They'll be the star of your next salad!

INGREDIENTS:

2-3 slices of whole wheat bread
extra-virgin olive oil
sea salt & pepper

DIRECTIONS:

Cut bread into bite-sized pieces. Spread them onto a baking sheet. Drizzle a little olive oil over the bread. Add salt and pepper. Use your hands to mix it all together. (I like to keep dirty dishes to a minimum) Cook in the oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes until they are golden-brown and crispy.

If you feel like getting really fancy, add some freshly shredded Parmesan cheese or pressed garlic when you add the salt and pepper.
